Multi-bed Acupuncture

Our multi-bed acupuncture clinic is run in two separate rooms, over two floors. This means that you are always in your own private room, unless you would like to share. Essentially, the only difference with multi-bed treatment is that once the needles are in, you are left to relax into the treatment whilst your acupuncturist goes on to see to someone else. You will be given a bell in case you need anything.

The first in depth consultation and treatment takes around an hour.

At subsequent visits, the acupuncturist will spend 20 minutes with you taking feedback and inserting the needles, before you are left for another 15 to 20 minutes to relax. This model of practice is much more akin to the way acupuncture is practised in China and as it enables practitioners to treat more efficiently it means that the cost of acupuncture treatments can be significantly reduced.

Rachel Geary

Rachel Geary BA(Hons), Lic. Ac. MBAcC is a fully qualified acupuncturist, having graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 2002. She has previously practised in Inverness and Barnstaple. "I first became interested in acupuncture whilst I was at university studying History and Philosophy. I was particularly drawn to eastern philosophy, which I found particularly elegant and beautiful. I then went on to complete a three and a half year course of study in acupuncture and discovered it to exemplify these very same qualities. I feel very privileged to have been able to learn so much about the Chinese understanding of health and to be able to use this knowledge to help others." Rachel Geary is a Registered Acupuncturist, she is registered at The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and The Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture Clinic (ACMAC).
