Covid 19 Secure Guidelines

Our clinic  has instituted some changes to limit the transmission of Covid-19. Along with increase hygiene and cleaning between patients we will also be following the measures below:

Social Distancing
We ask all visitors to maintain a two-metre distance from all other people in the clinic at all times. The only exception to this is during the treatment with your acupuncturist.

For social distancing reasons, we ask you to come alone for the appointment where possible unless a chaperone, parent or carer is required. If you do have to attend with someone else, please let us know, so we can make suitable arrangements. Patients are asked to bring their own clean blanket and a hand towel  to cover the pillow during treatment. You are also welcome to bring your own water bottle that can be filled from our filter.

Before Arrival
We will be screening for  Covid-19 prior appointment via text/email or phone call.

We will also be looking at the care of clinically vulnerable or extremely clinically vulnerable on a case by case basis to allow specific procedures to be put in place. (For descriptions of these categories, see here)

Entering The Clinic
We ask that you endeavour to arrive on time, rather than early to avoid prolonged time in the waiting area. You will be given a trug to place your personal effects in.

Hand Sanitising
We will provide hand-sanitiser at the door so that everyone can clean their hand on arrival and before leaving.

Face Mask and Respiratory Hygiene
We are recommending that patients wear ordinary surgical or cloths masks to the clinic. We will also provide you with a surgical mask for treatment. Both Daryl and I will also be wearing PPE for everyone’s protection. Facilities will be provided so that if you need to sneeze or cough while in the clinic, you can do so into a disposable tissue and throw it away immediately and then sanitise your hands.

Price Increase
Due to the extra cost inherent in the new measure I am afraid that we have taken the decision to increase treatment prices to £35 for initial consultations and £25 for follow-up appointments. We hope you understand. Please let Rachel know if this causes financial difficulty. We are encouraging cashless payment where possible, but you can still pay by cash or cheque. We ask that whenever possible you please bring the correct change.

Non Socially Distanced Contact
During the course of treatment, your practitioner will have to have non-socially distanced contact with you, hence while we have gone to great effort to meet very high standards of infection protection control, it is impossible to completely eliminate risk. We will be asking you to sign a consent form on entry to confirm that you understand this and are happy to proceed with the treatment.
