Torbay Acupuncture Centre Emergency Clinic Reopening

We have been keeping a close eye on the situation both across the country and in the bay and now feel comfortable re-opening the clinic for emergency treatments.

Unfortunately, under the current restrictions, we are still not allowed to open our doors as normal. We are very much hoping to be able to do that from the 12th of April. We have missed you all!

For now, the government still has fairly strict rules in place about who we are allowed to treat:

“Personal care services provided for essential medical and health needs, which cannot be deferred, may continue. For example, treatments for a diagnosed health condition or injury that is currently causing severe pain or mobility issues, or severely impacting quality of life… This does not extend to services provided for general stress relief, relaxation or preventative healthcare purposes.”

As I am sure you are aware this runs rather counter to the precepts of Chinese Medicine, which focuses on prevention and aims to treat root causes rather than symptoms. Nevertheless, unfortunately, this is the system in which we must operate for the moment.

If you feel you fit into this category and would like treatment or are not sure and would like to discuss it, please email us with your phone number, and we will get back to you.

Emergency clinics will run on Fridays from the 5th March 2021.
