Testimonials and reviews for acupuncture, the Torbay Acupuncture Centre, Torquay, Devon.

Patricia Taylor

I started treatment with Rachel after I broke both my shoulders. I was hoping that acupuncture would help with pain and healing, also prevent a couple of potential unpleasant complications. I am delighted to say that I have made enormous progress; although my arms still hurt after activity, the pain is nowhere near as bad, and is fairly short lived. My consultant has described my range of movement as remarkable. Apparently it is most unusual to raise the arm above shoulder height following this injury, which I can now do with one arm. The other needs further surgery, but once that’s done, I’m confident that, with Rachel’s help, I shall be able to raise both arms above my head.

Apart from that, Rachel has also helped me significantly with occasional back pain, fit of the miseries, and allergic rhinitis, which have cropped up along the way.

Rachel is a joy to work with, competent, knowledgeable, kind and supportive, with a calm manner and keen sense of humour. Thank you, Rachel, I am hugely grateful for all that you do.

Rachel Geary

Rachel Geary BA(Hons), Lic. Ac. MBAcC is a fully qualified acupuncturist, having graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 2002. She has previously practised in Inverness and Barnstaple. "I first became interested in acupuncture whilst I was at university studying History and Philosophy. I was particularly drawn to eastern philosophy, which I found particularly elegant and beautiful. I then went on to complete a three and a half year course of study in acupuncture and discovered it to exemplify these very same qualities. I feel very privileged to have been able to learn so much about the Chinese understanding of health and to be able to use this knowledge to help others." Rachel Geary is a Registered Acupuncturist, she is registered at The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and The Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture Clinic (ACMAC).
